If there were ever a good example of ‘before and after’ photos… the paintwork on this beautiful property was well overdue a makeover and we worked tirelessly to bring it to its former glory before the weather turned. Circa 1907, the Mapperley Park home boasted elegance of the era with beautiful features such as stained glass windows and decorative wooden soffits. It’s satisfying to see work completed over 4 years ago still looking on point 👌🏻 This 3d wallpaper has a neoprene / foam texture to it. It sits in total contrast next to the brick wall and gives the lounge area of the Crown Plaza Hotel a modern feel. It required a scaffolding platform for us to fit and we definitely needed get the installation right first time! This family have had a custom made bunk room built in their new home and the children will have one super cool sleepover room when it’s finished. We used Farrow and Ball eggshell to make it more hardwearing and the blue tone adds a nice pop of colour rather than just white. Sometimes timescales can be a challenge... this job was a whole house that needed completing in two weeks, and we did it! 💪🏻 We had started the project at the beginning of 2020, but then lockdown happened and our customer had to shield and so we were unable to finish the job. Understandably the client wanted to be as cautious as possible and so waited until this month to get us back in. They stayed in an Airbnb and we had a two week deadline until they were moving back in. Happy bank holiday! ☀️ The recent good weather has allowed us to crack on with a fair amount of exterior painting, including giving these entrance walls some tlc... Some of the render was cracked and blown and lots of the paint was peeling, so the first task was to scrape off the paint back to bare render. We repaired and filled where needed and then stabilised with @johnstonespaint Stabiliser. We applied 3 coats of Pliolite masonry paint to give it the full works. We also brought the wooden gates back to life with @osmo_uk woodstain and UV Protection oil. This loft room has been given a fresh makeover and is ready to be used as a proper room rather than just storage. The customer had the room skimmed which gives a crisp surface for painting. We used Danish oil on the exposed beams and @johnstonespaint oil based eggshell for a hard-wearing finish to the wooden floor. The walls are a dark @farrowandball and to keep the room as bright as possible the ceiling was a contrasting white.
