When we were lucky to have sunshine recently we were able to complete the exterior fresh on this beautiful West Bridgford home.

We organised the scaffolding, and well overdue joinery repairs then gave the woodwork a weather resistant finish using @duluxuk Weathershield.

The house is all set to withstand the rainy days ahead, and the curb appeal has been boosted with the smart finish 👌🏼

It’s important to get the colour you choose right, and often a great idea to put samples of the paint in different areas around the room. This way you get to see how the colours change with varying light levels and during different times of the day.

We recently painted inside this beautiful cottage in Long Whatton, and although the customer knew they wanted neutral they weren’t sure if the extract tone and shade.

Keep a look out for photos of the completed job 🤍

Posted @withregram • @livingetcofficial Deep, dark burgundy is having an interiors renaissance!

There’s a depth and intensity to burgundy that our much-loved neutrals just can’t match. This rich, red-wine hue is dark, moody, and intriguing. We promise you won’t regret trying this bold color trend in your home, but if you need a little inspiration, take a look at these schemes from some of the best interior designers – featuring all sorts of ways to incorporate the shade into your home

It’s the details that count, and things like replacing, repairing or adding a ceiling rose can make a huge difference to a room.

This rose from @regencymouldings is 24” and has added a touch of class to the ceiling, in keeping with the other period features in the property.

This property has had its period vibes restored, with panelling installed and painted in a deep green eggshell - @littlegreenepaintcompany #invisiblegreen

@farrowandball Strong White on the walls and ceiling above provide a stark brightness to ensure the space isn’t too dark and overbearing.

Once the floor has been sanded or carpeted the hall, stairs and landing will be a welcoming part of the home and not just a corridor.

Sometimes the bones of a kitchen can be quality and they just need a little freshening up and tlc.

This oak kitchen had facilitated many family meals and no longer looked its best, but we injected some new life in to it…

Using sugar soap we throughly cleaned the kitchen cupboards, walls, woodwork, appliances, windows and doors to remove any build-up and grease.

We prepared all the surfaces then treated the wood with @osmo_uk polyx furniture wax oil - it’s the perfect product for a kitchen as it’s scratch resistant, tough, durable and water repelling.

The walls and ceilings were painted with @johnstonespaint cova plus giving a clean and bright finish.

As part of the job we also changed all the kitchen spot lights to new LED fittings to give a better lighting, and make things more convenient and cost effective for the customer long term.

This bold finish was the end result of a full room refurb including being knocked back to brickwork, re-boarding and plastering, new electrics and woodwork where needed and fully painted in @littlegreenepaintcompany

That wasn’t the plan from the beginning… we had intended on skimming before painting, but once we started working we quickly realised the plaster was beyond repair and needed replacing.

The end result is a smart finish that will last 👌🏼

On the home stretch…

Paint on the walls and woodwork can completely transform a building site, and makes a place feel welcoming and exciting.

Once painted it gives a better idea of the space to be able to plan where ornaments and furnishings will go, and definitely means the end of the project is near!

Check out this work in progress of a residential project on Canning Circus.

True, not everyone has ceilings that high to be able to make such a dramatic style work, but elements can be incorporated in to rooms of any size to create a similar impact - panelling painted black, contrasting furniture, mural sections…

There are ways to bring monochrome to your home 👌🏼

Making good progress at the iconic Canning Circus almshouses exterior project.

Having fully prepared the surfaces we are spraying the masonry to get the smoothest finish, across all the features.

The wooden trim at the top of the building has been colour matched to @farrowandball #londonstone and we’re sprayed the masonry with @keim_uk #mineralpaint.

This odourless product uses completely natural products and the paint penetrates the substrate to deliver a long-lasting finish. The colour won’t be impacted by UV rays and @keim_uk boast about the stability and how it won’t fade.
The #soldalit range provides weather protection with a matt finish.

Perfect when painting a heritage building like this one.
